Castle Cottage
booking TERMS AND  conditions

We ask for a non-returnable advance payment of £100 with each booking, and for the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. Our preferred method of payment is by bank transfer, however we also accept paypal and cheques payable to K Short.

We also kindly ask guests to pay a £100 good housekeeping bond to cover any chargeable damages. The bond will be refunded within 3 days after your stay.

We would not charge for breakages of small items such as a cup or glass, however please bring any such breakages to our attention to enable us to replace them for incoming guests. For loss damage or breakages of larger items, several smaller items or keys, we would charge a reasonable cost of replacements.

If you need to cancel your booking you must inform us in writing/email as soon as possible. If you cancel more than 8 weeks before the start of your holiday, then the final balance would not be payable. If you need to cancel within the 8 weeks before your holiday, the balance will only be returnable if we can re-let the property for that period. We therefore strongly advise that you arrange suitable holiday insurance. If you do not inform us of any cancellation or fail to make the balance payment in time, we are entitled at our discretion to treat your booking as having been cancelled by you.
